Alberta E. Rosie

ALBERTA FARINA ROSIE, 87, of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at home.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, she was a life-long Trenton area resident.

Mrs. Rosie retired in 1986 after more than twenty years from the Trenton Board of Education. She was a Life member and Past President of the New Jersey PTA.

Daughter of the late Russell and Elizabeth Mennuti Farina; sister of the late Phyllis Angeli; she is survived by her loving husband Dominick T. Rosie; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Monica Rosie of Kingwood, Texas, and Russell and Cathy Rosie of Hamilton Township; her daughters, Jeanette Cuffee of Trenton and Bette and CJ Barbalaci of Trenton; a brother, Joseph Farina of Ewing Township; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arthur and Mary Ann Rosie and Jeanette Rosie; eight grandchildren, Celeste and Hiawatha Cuffee, Michael and Jessica Barbalaci, Russell, Mandy, and Michael R. Rosie and Krystal Ledford; three great-grandchildren, Harmony, Ciani, and Camerin; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

The Funeral will held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from Brenna Funeral Home 340 Hamilton Avenue, Trenton. Her nephew, Msgr. Joseph N. Rosie will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Anthony's Church, 626 South Olden Avenue, Hamilton. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.

Calling hours for family and friends will be on Sunday evening, April 15 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Brenna Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Greenwood House Hospice, 50 Walker Avenue, Ewing, New Jersey 08628.
